Our Mission Statement:

Common Tables offers the world an alternative to bias, bigotry, racism and religious intolerance. Using education and small group interactions, Common Tables lowers perceived barriers and promotes respect and understanding between traditionally disconnected communities.

 About Common Tables

Each member of Common Tables plays an important role in our global vision.

Common Tables organizes members from diverse belief systems, backgrounds and cultures into small groups called "Tables". These  Tables then meet in relaxed, informal, social settings, where members simply take time to get to know one another.

Through the casual, "getting-to-know you" sorts of conversations that our system encourages, an interesting truth emerges: members find that they have much more in common than they might otherwise have ever realized. In the words of one member whose group recently completed their round of gatherings:

"Our experience with this group was that we already are about 95% the same . . ."
("This group" consisted of two Reform Jews,
a New Thought couple, a pair of Baptists and two Agnostics. Ages ranged from the low 30's to the upper 70's.)

As members learn about one another, each expands his or her own circle of understanding. They break bread together, share wonderful food and form friendships that last forever.

“All great change in America begins at the dinner table.”
                                                                       Ronald Reagan
